MOMO challenge
Please be aware that there is a dangerous game called the "MOMO challenge" that is circulating on social media and has made it's way to Montana. (

This challenge is directed at children and young adults. A scary-looking avatar "challenges" the child to perform various tasks, and tells the child to provide a photo to prove that the challenge has been met. The tasks get increasingly violent, and have resulted in self-harm and suicide. The MOMO threatens those who do not perform the task.

Please monitor your child's social media to assure that he/she is not participating in the MOMO challenge.  If you become aware of your child's, or any other child's, participation in the MOMO challenge, please contact your school's counselor or principal as soon as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's school counselor.
