The I*ndividuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)* includes the Child Find mandate. Child Find requires all school districts to locate, identify, and evaluate all children with disabilities. This obligation to identify all children who may need special education services exists even if the school is not providing special education services to the child.  BPS conducts Child Find events for children 3 and older on an annual basis. These events are held at Blackfeet Early Childhood Center in the fall and spring, as well as at a BPS location annualy in August. Public notification of these Child Find events are posted on the BPS webpage, BPS Facebook page, and distributed flyers throughout the community.
