School Closure (COVID 19)

School Closure Letter through end of the year
April 8, 2020

Yesterday there was a press conference with Governor Bullock's.  His directive was to continue having all Schools closed through 4/24/20.  He again issued the stay at home order with the exception of essential services.  Schools continue to be essential services.  The Governor also asked that all Montanans wear cloth masks in public.  Please make arrangements to use a cloth mask.

Governor Bullock has announced that the Montana Public Schools closure will be extended until April 10.

March 15, 2020

Dear Browning Public Schools Community Members:

As you know Governor Bullock declared all Montana Public Schools to be closed for 10 days, from March 16-March 27, 2020.

The Browning School Board of Trustees went on record to accept Governor Bullock's declaration and also accepted my recommendation that Browning Public Schools close for at least 14 days and to also monitor the situation during that time and extend it longer if necessary.  Browning Public Schools will continue to feed our students at the same sites we feed our students during the summers. NO Employees will be required to work, we will need volunteers to ensure our children get fed while school is not in session. If you are physically able and in good health and can help please let us know.

All schools and facilities will be CLOSED, there will be no activities, no sports, and no open gyms.

Please be safe and remember we care about all our students, staff, parents, community and the Blackfeet Reservation.
